Karsten is from Mound City, SD and lives on the family farm in south central Campbell county. He graduated from Black Hills State University in 2020 with a degree in economics and finance. He is a commercial applicator mostly in Campbell, Emmons and McIntosh counties. Karsten became a crop insurance agent in December of 2020 and began working with LB Insurance in January of 2021.
